Its not often these days you here a success story, but Local Life Magazine based in Wigan is going from strength to strength!
Started from a bedroom in Wigan 4+ years ago with little more than 30+ pages the magazine has now grown to be 3 publications of over 50 pages each. This stratospheric success (in part down to the winning combination of WN6 Creative Design super low cost production and the Local Life Management team) is not without challenges – now Local Life have to leave the confines of the home office and head off to bright shiny new offices! PHT are a brand new company dedicated to providing products, information, resources and news to help you balance, your life, environment and spirit in general.
“All of our products have been created and sourced with an eye of renewal, peace and sustainability, some are recycled, others may be up-cycled, all we hope you will enjoy.”
The website developed in partnership with PHT Media will have a large body of content covering a wide variety of topics. Although still in in development its looks to be promising start for this brand new creative partnership.

The death of the magazine?
I often hear people talking about the virtues of online this and cyberspace that, social networking and web mags. In the 20+ years of working in the creative industry and watching as new technology emerges in it’s various and clunky forms, from dial up (one page on the whole web), walled gardens, peer to peer local forums, IRC chat facilities, social networking, phone apps to name but a few. Throughout all this exciting growth the words “this will be the death of the press” have always resonated, in part at the time I agreed, but there was always something missing.
